Nicole Galy : "Dancer, and teacher, strongly influenced by the inspirational Irène POPARD, Igor FOSCA, Reney DESHAUTEURS and Matt MATTOX, I left the stage for the dance studio without regrets : I simply love teaching... to analyse, to encourage through dance for full self expression. In 2010, inspired by the “Barre à Terre” (Ballet Barre) of Boris KNIASEFF, famous choreographer of the 1960s, I created what I call the “Barre au Sol Dansée” or “Dance Ballet Barre”. This new concept, using different dance techniques, prioritises not only the initial goals of body placement and warm-up, but also dance movement, its fluidity, continuity, the sense of breath, its expression and spirituality."
