Did you know that the beautiful melody of the song Autumn's Leaves, Les Feuilles Mortes in French came from a ballet?

In 1945 in Paris, at the end of world war II, the choreographer Roland Petit creates the ballet LE RENDEZ-VOUS.
Roland Petit, then only 21 creates the ballet in collaboration with the poet Jacques Prévert, Pablo Picasso who will paint the backcloth, the photographer Brassai who will create photographs for the decor and Joseph Kosma who composed the beautiful haunting score...
The poignant melody from the pas de deux then became the famous song "Autumn's Leaves" when Marcel Carné adapted the ballet to the cinema:
Les Portes De La Nuit...

In 2021, Paris Opera will be celebrating Roland Petit's amazing lecacy to mark the choreographers 10 years death anniversary and the ballet
